1. When should I settle trades?
For Pure Online Accounts, you need to have sufficient funds or stocks in your securities account before placing order. Under this T+0 arrangement , the money deposited into your securities account can earn interest at rate offered by GCap.
For Custodian Accounts, you are required to settle trades within two trading days of the order(s) being placed. GCap Marketing Executives are pleased to explain to you how to faciliate your trading on trading day.
For Margin Accounts, you are not required to settle in full on the specified day. However, you must ensure that the minimum amount required to meet the marginable balance is maintained in your account.
* Please note that if you are transferring funds via PPS, you should do it at least one trading day before the respective settlement day. This means T+2 settlement should deposit funds on T+1 and margin accounts should deposit funds at least one working day prior to settlement day. Please refer to FAQ-PPS for details.
2. How do I deposit money into my securities account?
You can deposit money into your securities account in any of the following ways:
- Direct deposit to DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited
Deposit the sum at any branches of the DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited and credit the sum to "GuocoCapital Limited" current account (#511833345) with your account no. and account type as reference. (Please use letter "U" or "M" to indicate the account type - For custodian account, please write Uxxxxx00. For margin account, please write Mxxxxx00)
- Deliver a crossed cheque to our office
Crossed Cheque should be made payable to "GuocoCapital Limited". Kindly indicate your account name, account type and your GCap account no. at the back of the cheque and send it to:

- Deposit funds via PPS
Customers with PPS accounts can make payment via a phone or the Internet
PPS by Phone: You can transfer funds from your bank account to GCap account using a phone. Dial 18011 for registration and 18031 for payment. The merchant code for GuocoCapital Limited is 9253.
PPS by Internet: If you are a registered user of the PPS and have a PPS Internet Password, you can make direct payment via PPS website at http://www.ppshk.com.

3. How can I deposit stocks to my GCap Securities Account?
If your stocks are in the custody of other brokerage houses or custodians , please deliver the shares to us through Settlement Instruction.
If you hold physical scrips, you should consider carefully whether deposit of physical scrips into Hong Kong Clearing via GCap would result in any loss rights, including but not limited to loyalty bonus shares, which will only be awarded to an individual original owner of the security registered in his/her own name. Please ensure you understand the consequences to such a deposit. Neither GCap nor any of its officers and agents shall be held responsible or liable for any consequential loss arising from such deposit of physical scrip which solely your responsibility and decision. 4. How can I withdraw money from my Securities Account?
You can instruct us to withdraw funds from Monday to Friday (except public holidays) by the following means:
- Through Internet: click into Cash Withdrawal, complete the withdrawal form and submit the instruction; or
- Through Automated Trading Hotline at (852) 2218 2688: key in your withdrawal instructions. This channel is applicable to withdrawing funds for depositing into your designated bank account; or
- Visit our office in person during office hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; complete the withdrawal form and return to us. The withdrawal form can also be sent to us by post at:-

- Give verbal instruction through our office telephone to your Account Executive during office hours for funds depositing into the designated bank account registered in your own name.

5. How can I withdraw stocks from my Securities Account?
You can send us your instructions for withdrawal by the following means:
- Click into the Settlement Instruction page on our web site, complete the withdrawal form and send it to us via email; or
- Fax or mail us your withdrawal instructions
6. What is a "Settlement Instruction"?
This is an instruction that you give to a brokerage, such as GCap, to receive stocks from another brokerage or to transfer stocks to another brokerage. The instruction should not involve any change of underlying beneficiary and is good only for transfer of stocks among Hong Kong brokerages.
